My client for this advertising campaign is a fictional online betting company, specializing in football bets. "BETSOPOLIS"
The campaign involves advertising on three different online mediums in order to cater to varying target demographics, through the use of brand awareness, generating interest and establishing relationships with the target customer.
The first advertisement, that of a skyscraper banner (displayed below), is made with the intention of deploying it in various football websites like Goal.com, MSN sport and many more. The possibilities are endless with the regards to the number of sites available for us to access market. Our target market, in this case, is purely football lovers. The aim of the skyscraper ad is to attract the attention of the reader with its bright and vibrant colors, and then further their interest with our various selling points like “ Expert Analysis” etc. Such information would definitely appeal to a football fan looking for added coverage on games. So halfway down the skyscraper, and we already have the football fan experiencing a fair bit of interest. Given that brand awareness has been introduced with the “Betsopolis” logo, we go one further and offer the reader a free 50 dollar bet upon sign up. This effectively builds brand awareness and also calls the reader to action. Regardless of whether the reader is a gambler or not, he is now entertaining the possibility of placing a bet. The skyscraper also adds a dimension of personal selling with the “Bet Now” link which the reader can’t avoid due to the blinking 50 dollar sign above it. Simple as it is, such a method should prove more than effective. The offer is clearly enticing and the next time the reader considers betting, or even football, our offer and logo will be familiar images in his head.

We expand the coverage of our advertisements in order to entice more readers to click on the ad, and consequently generate user traffic for our website. The color scheme is similar to the first ad, and along with the “Betsopolis” logo, which is clearly diferrentiated – it effectively develops brand awareness by invoking familiarity from the reader. Essentially, the primary objective of this advertisement is to generate interest and establish brand awareness. The image and text transitions are designed in such a way that it attracts and guides the reader’s attention. The “Bet Now” button is also present, for the convenience of experienced gamblers looking to place a quick bet, and thus can easily generate sales.
The third medium of advertisement that I decided to utilize for my campaign is a Square Button (displayed below) that will attract readers, and call them to action. The button, vitally, shares the same theme and color palette as the rest of the advertisements, further emphasizing the importance of readers recognizing our brand. This is further highlighted with the presence of the brand logo. Familiarity plays an integral role in the success of the button, as we’re looking to cultivate brand awareness and generate interest. Once we’ve laid an imprint of our ad in the minds of the viewers, our promotional offer 50 dollar bets is the clincher in us acquiring a profitable customer base.
